Greensboro, GA -  We are proud to announce the Official Grocer of the Waterway Soiree, Publix Supermarket, with their anchor stores in both Greensboro and Milledgeville.

The Waterway Soiree takes place August 23, 24, and 25. As sponsor of the Waterway Soiree, Publix Supermarket will be onsite at all of the weekend festivities. Publix will provide food for the Chef Headliners Myron Mixon Meat and Greet, the Mark Cameron Jamaican Me Crazy Island Hop. In addition, they will sponsor a Kid’s cookie decorating activity and community activation tents.

Livin’ La Vida Laka Welcome Party on Friday evening, August 23 will be a General Admission Dance Party and Kick-Off event at Sixty-Two in Madison, GA. Attendees will enjoy catered food and drinks from Mad Hospitality Group with a tour of Madison cuisine and dance the night away with lively DJ tunes!

The Start of The ‘Waterway Soiree’ on Saturday, August 24 will kick-off with an official proclamation of Waterway Soiree Day in Greensboro, Georgia by Mayor Corey Williams. The event will be a nod to downtown Greensboro at the Lake Oconee Brewing Company on Saturday, August 24^th from 11 AM to 1 PM with our headliner Myron Mixon.  The themed lake hops will open from 1 PM to 4 PM. Event proceeds will benefit the Kirby Smart Family Foundation, as well as the Greene County Habitat for Humanity. We are excited to welcome visitors from throughout Georgia to beautiful Lake Oconee. This is truly a community-wide event!

The Waterway Soiree Lake Hops on Saturday, August 24 on Lake Oconee can all be accessed by car or boat and festivities will include raffle prizes, curated themed parties, elevated entertainment and activities, and food and drinks for sale featuring exclusive chef headliners.  

Lake Hop tickets will include free park entrance to Old Salem and Parks Ferry Park.  The four themed stops will include entertainment, kid-friendly activities, dog events, and Each ticket will include a raffle ticket for incredible prizes, and a pictorial coloring lake map, with all hop locations. Get your map stamped at each location to receive additional raffle tickets. Waterway Soiree merchandise and themed food and beverages will be available for purchase.  Themes will include a ‘Jamaican Me Crazy’ Island Hop; a ‘Mexican Fiesta’ Hop; a ‘Meat and Greet’ and ‘Farm-to-Table’ Hop; and a ‘Delectable Dessert’ Hop. 

Exclusive headlining chefs include:

Myron Mixon - 5x BBQ world champion and “winningest man in BBQ”. Meat and Greet cooking demo and book signing, storytelling. Appeared on numerous BBQ TV Shows: Destination America, BBQ Pitmasters, Smoked, & BBQ Pit Wars. Mayor of Unadilla, Georgia and owner of Jack’s Old South restaurants.

Mark Cameron- Guest chef at the famous Wynwood Miami Jamaican restaurant Dunkunoo. Owned the acclaimed Caribbean Grill in Oceanside, Ca.  Profiled on NBC, FOX, and CBS for demonstrations on Caribbean Cuisine.  Creator of a condiment line to celebrate his home country of Jamaica. Mark is also an accomplished artist featured at Art Basel in Miami with his Abstract, representational, and Impressionistic Art. He is nicknamed the “Renaissance Man”.

The ‘Rock the Dock’ wrap-up party on Sunday, August 25 at Oconee Brewery in Downtown Greensboro, GA will be complimentary to all Waterway Soiree ticket holders. This family-friendly event will feature a celebrity Superbowl DJ sponsored by Nice entertainment rocking tunes all afternoon! There will be fun kids activities, food trucks, and exclusive ‘Rock the Dock’ beer and ‘Waterway Soiree’ seltzers for sale. Epic Waterway Soiree raffle prizes will be awarded at this festive event!
