Public Hop Guide
Starting the Waterway Soiree as a nod to downtown Greensboro at the Oconee Brewing Company (OBC) with Myron Mixon from 11AM to 1PM on Saturday, August 24th. All lake hops (Old Salem Park, Parks Ferry, and Sun Life Marinas) will be open from 1PM to 4PM
Included in the Waterway Soiree pass: food and beverage options, entertainment from 11AM to 4PM, and special-timed events. Please note that there will be limited boat docking availability. Best to be accessed by motor vehicle.
1 - "BBQ Meat & Greet" with Myron Mixon at the OBC
Special guest appearance:
- Summer BBQ demo stage with 5-time world champion Myron Mixon
- Food for sale: BBQ and curated small plates using locally sourced ingredients
- Merchandise for sale: Myron's cookbooks, rubs, sauces, and BBQ accessories
- Drinks for sale: Cocktails, beer, and other alcoholic beverages
2 - "Jamaican Me Crazy" with Mark Cameron at Old Salem Park
Guest chef at the famous Wynnwood Miami Jamaican restaurant Dunkunoo. Owned the acclaimed Caribbean Grill in Oceanside, CA. Profiled on NBC, FOX, and CBS for demonstrations on Caribbean Cuisine. This island-themed hop will include:
- Steel drummers and Polynesian dancers
- Lei ceremony
- Kid friendly activities
- Food for sale: Jamaican and Caribbean cuisine
- Drinks for sale: Non-alcoholic beverages
3 - Parks Ferry
This fiesta-themed hop will include:
- Mariachi band
- Dance floor
- Kid friendly activities
- Dog exhibition in the open field (next to pavilion)
- Food for sale: Street tacos and tapas
- Drinks for sale: non-alcoholic beverages
4 - Sun Life Marinas
This dessert-themed hop will include:
- Oconee Classic Boats will give complimentary wooden boat rides from the dock
- Live band entertainment (Soul and Motown)
- Kid friendly activities
- Food for sale: Ice cream, gelato, cakes, and assorted baked goods
- Drinks for sale: Beer and wine
Lake Hop Park Map
